Kid Spot - Speech, Play, Occupational Therapies
We’re not your typical therapy clinic—and we’re proud of that.
At Kid Spot, we believe communication and regulation don’t just happen in a chair—they happen in spaces that feel safe, sensory-friendly, and full of possibility and backed by evidence based assessments and interventions.

AAC Trial & Keep - As I Am Programme
At Kid Spot, we want every child to have a voice. AsIAm’s AAC Support Programme means families of children with Autistic children who communicates without speech or with minimal speech, can trial a high-tech communication device and, if it works well, keep it for their child through As I Am’s initiative.
1. Check eligibility with As I Am
2. Register Your Interest with Kid Spot here
Check with your insurer because you may get this service refunded - 75% rebate with some policies
We Assess your child and recommend the right app
For example:
LAMP Words for Life® – strong evidence for autistic children; words stay in the same place so children build “muscle memory” for language.
TD Snap (Core First) – a flexible, grid-based system that many families find intuitive.
If one doesn’t fit, we can trial another.
3. Trial period
Your child receives a managed device with the chosen app (3–4 weeks).
It’s set up for communication only, with a case, strap, and stand.
We provide support sessions so you feel confident modelling and encouraging communication at home.
4. Review and decision
After 2 weeks, we check progress with you.
If the trial is successful, we complete the Device Funded form so your child keeps the device.
If not, we can try a different app.
